Restaurant Prima Luna in Montreal

Went there for the first time this week and it was very good. The food, the drinks and service was perfect. I will come back for sure!

I was invited for a diner 40 people, the restaurant is the only thing that pleased me, very nice décor and set up. Unfortunately the menu was just a few choices and the food was tasty but the ingredients were low quality and the service was poor. No attention to the plates but quick to pour the wine, we know how that works, empty bottle equals re order.To bad it used to be good.

Not the biggest menu around but pretty good for the price, especially when you want to stick to the east end

Was very disappointed. We were there for an Elton John type show. We were 9 people and they brought 8 bread rolls. The waiter tells us to bread the bread in pieces and try to cope with it.Then the pasta? I counted 18 penne (macaroni) However the breaded chicken was a huge portion and very good.Logically it would have made more sense to give less chicken and more pasta.Go Figure.I will go back because I've been there many times and it was awesome.Just this 1 time leaves me questioning.

Who ever wrote best italian restaurant in town..does not know good culinary food..lol..Prima Luna is your average italian restaurant for the place where it is situated. It could never in their dreams compete with other restaurants located elsewhere in Montreal .and thats a fact..food is average nothing to go Wow or Awesome..just average ok.the same goes for the service,just average..I was there last night with 3 of my sisters and many other relatives to have a me,after we buried our dad the same day..Would I go there,no.. Having been to other great restaurant fares such as Gibbeys,Harbor 60 in Toronto,Aquavit and The Circus in NYC to mention a few,Prima Luna is not my standard of excellent restaurant..hey go but just expect average food and service..Dimenna Restaurant on Jarry east is far more superior..

I went for an engagement, really nice hall, good service and food.

We were there for a baptism and were about 60 guest. Staff were not friendly at all. Even seemed to ignore us and purposely avoided eye contact just so they didn't have so serve us.The young boy working there was honestly the courteous one there. Smiled and payed attention.Our table was always dry..... No wine, no eater.... They removed our towels before they served dessert which resulted in us having nothing to wipe ourselves. Waited forever for coffee. Came after dessert was served...So disappointing because the food was quite good.

First of all its a very clean and we'll kept restaurant. Dishes are made of quality ingredients and tastefully prepared. Menu is plentiful and varied with particular attention to seasonal availability. Products used are fresh and passionately prepared. During my visits service was friendly and noticeably a notch or two above the norm. Young chef Andrea has fit well into his late father's shoes, a well known and respected Montreal restaurateur. This eatery is located away from mainstream but we'll worth the trip and easily accessible by numerous highways.

The food and service are excellent. Good choice of wine. One of the best Italien food I have had. Reminds me of being in Italy.The waiters are very cool.

Delicious food and great friendly atmosphere. Everytime I go it gets better and better. Waiters are cool and very helpful. Sushi is delicious as well. Great place to go for something small, parties or just a fancy meal, I highly recommend it. Had my wedding there too and it was epic!

This place was okay. Many of our guests did not like their dishes , I.e. the Alfredo was too salty, the tomato sauce was too salty , the tomato sauce tasted canned, the risotto was too fishy, the seafood tasted passed and the prosciutto wasn't properly cured. My pasta was pretty simple which was just penne with oil which I enjoyed. The server was really good however because we were a big party (23 people) however the food came out really slow and there were only 2 other tables there as well . We had two other servers whom were a bit rude with us and my grandmother but I believe they were just frustrated. I would maybe return as a smaller group. Their foccacia was really good as were their olives.

It has been awhile since I had the privilege of going to Prima Luna. It is truly a gem. The service is impeccable with truly professional career wait staff. The food is exceptional. We had sushi and it was awesome. Don't be shy to try any item from the Italian menu. Although you get what you pay for, this is still a fancy lunch with the prices to follow. Enjoy!

Visited this restaurant at lunch time. Nice setting and very roomy. The service is amazing and very honest. The is great although a little expensive for lunch. Will certainly come back again.

Went for mothers day, table of 6. Easy reservations, great atmosphere. We enjoyed the fact that there was live entertainment ( singer with guitar ) we did not feel rushed. Well priced and generous portions. Highly recommended. Will be going back. A pleasant surprise to find a restaurant of this calibre in Montreal's east end.

Had our company Xmas party here and it was very nice, the meal was good and so was the service .

Celebrated a 40th surprise birthday party along with another birthday over the weekend. Food was presented in different stations which was just perfect to pick and choose. Service was one of the best I ever had. The waiters were on the ball at every table. Quick and polite. Never had a a dry glass at my table. Everyone kept saying that the food was the best. Thank you to all the staff at Prima Luna for making my Godson and niece's party a huge success!

Went there last week for a family supper after a funeral. Like always we were very well received, the food was very good. Great service and atmosphere. Have been there many times and will go back many times again no doubt!

This was my first visit to this hall. It was clean well organized and well staffed. You never had to ask for wine or water they were always around filling glasses, cleaning up plates. The decorations and look of the place was impeccable I fully enjoyed the experience.

I was craving general tao chicken so decided to give this place a try using UberEats, 19.80$ for 8 pieces of chicken, what a rip off!!!!!doesn’t even come with steamed rice. Needless to say, I was still hungry. Never ordering from this place again. I’ve had better general tao from other places for cheaper and enough chicken for 2 people to share!

Had a great night there, but they produce lots of plastic waste, and the vegetarian menu is composed 3 carrots and 4 aspergus.
